You came to the right space

Welcome!

I’m so happy you’re here, and because you are, I’m sure we share similar passions related to environmental justice. I am committed to helping researchers, engineers, planners, and students integrate environmental justice teachings into better practices, methodologies, and approaches. Every package comes with an initial (and free) consultation session where we’ll evaluate and determine your needs, establish expectations and chart a path forward. See below for a list of my services.

1:1 Consulting

Just Research 101

Are you new to the history, principles, and goals of environmental justice (EJ), but are enthusiastic about learning more, including ways to integrate EJ theories and principles into your research practice? If this sounds like you and you’re unsure of how or where to begin, this is the package for you! Designed to give you an overview, and an understanding of how EJ can enrich your work, Dr. Hoover will cover the basics and in each session, you will learn how to thread EJ into your own work. At the end of these sessions, you will walk away with a comprehensive understanding of EJ, feeling ready and empowered to build it into your everyday profession or practice.

Suggested Audience: undergraduate or graduate students, postdocs, early to mid-career researchers

Consulting Fee: $300

The EJ Graduate

Are you familiar with the history and principles of environmental justice (EJ) and looking for support on integrating EJ or interdisciplinarity into a specific project? Whether you are a researcher or practitioner, in these sessions, you and Dr. Hoover will take a dive deep into your specific work and flush out the details that include but are not limited to method design, measuring criteria, or metrics as it relates to EJ, evaluating outcomes, project language, and implementation approaches. These sessions come with ‘homework’ or tasks to move your project forward. At the end of these sessions, you will have clearly defined project goals, methods, and/or evaluation criteria to fit your project needs and scope.

Suggested Audience: undergraduate or graduate students, postdocs, early to mid-career researchers

Consulting Fee: $595
